I went cycling the other day and ended up helping Autumn to do its job. I returned home with a bunch of leaves and after putting them in a plastic bag I put them in the fridge. I keep leaves there when I can’t use them on the same day, to keep them fresh. – For painting purposes one needs fresh leaves which are still full of life otherwise the veins won’t show on the t-shirt and the print will be blurry. – Unfortunately our fridge is quite small, so there is a strong competition between the fresh milk’s and fresh leaves’ team. This time the leaves’ team won. Sorry, kids!
I like fig tree leaves. Although it is difficult to make prints with them – the reverse side is slightly “fluffy” and it absorbes the paint – they are very durable and they have an unusual shape.
